1. My child has never played for a church league before. For which division should I sign them up?
Our divisions are separated by age groups. August 31st is the birthday cut off for playing in a division. Example: If your child turns 7 on or before August 31st they must play in A Division or higher. If they turn 7 years old after August 31st they may play in the AA Division or A Division (or higher).

2. How do I register my child for IYBL?
Contact the church for which you would like your child to play.
3. I would like to coach a team. Whom should I contact?
Great! Thank you so much for volunteering to coach this season! There is a coach application to fill out. You can find it under "Volunteer" in the "Coaches Corner." If you would like to coach at Myers Park Baptist Church please contact Brian Richardson at 704.927.0774. If you would like to coach at Myers Park Presbyterian Church please contact Monty McCullough at 704.927.1284.
4. Where are games held?
All games will be held at one of several locations; Myers Park Presbyterian Church Outreach Center, Myers Park Baptist Church Cornwell Center, or Providence Methodist Church. This list is subject to change as we are still looking for more game day space.
5. When will games be held?
Games will begin on the first Saturday in December. We will hold games every Saturday through March at the latest.
6. When does the IYBL season end?
The season will end the first Saturday in March barring any inclement weather that will delay the season. As stated in the League Rules, the AA division plays 6 games with no playoff, the A division plays 7 games in addition to single elimination playoffs, and the B-E divisions play 8 games in addition to single elimination play offs.

8. What is the time commitment for each team?
Each team will practice once a week for an hour. When games begin, each team will have one game a week, unless otherwise cleared through the coach. During the tournament it is possible they will play two games in a day.
9. When will I find out when my child's practice is held?
Practice days and times are at the discretion of the practice site and coaches from the individual churches will contact their players. Myers Park Presbyterian coaches will contact their team members by the end of October with their practice day and time.
10. When will practices begin?
Practices vary based on the church. Please contact your church administrator for the answer to this question.
11. What is your inclement weather policy?
When inclement weather threatens the safety of travel in the league’s region, the league will consider cancelling all games for that day. Any such league-wide cancellations will be posted on the league’s website as early as possible on game day. Also, in case of league-wide cancellations, the league will contact the coordinator of league referees to alert them to the game cancellations.
Games canceled due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled. However, the league, in its discretion may decide to schedule make-up games for the play-off’s or tournaments.

Practice cancellation is at the discretion of the individual practice sites. Please contact your host church.
